About CGPACalc Online

CGPACalc Online is an independently built collection of academic calculators and everyday web tools, run by one developer rather than a company or content network.

Why this site exists

Most students work out their GPA or semester aggregate at least a few times a year, usually right before or after results are announced. The options tend to be a spreadsheet you have to rebuild every semester, a forum post with a formula in it, or a calculator site that asks you to register before it will show a result.

CGPACalc started as a single GPA calculator built to avoid all three of those. The rule has stayed the same since: open the page, enter your numbers, see the result. No account, no email, no paywall in front of a calculation.

Who maintains it

The site is designed, written, coded and maintained by a single person — a developer based in Pakistan. There is no editorial team and no outsourced writing. When a calculator behaves oddly or a formula needs correcting, the same person who wrote it fixes it.

You can reach the developer directly at jahangirarshad99@gmail.com.

That also means the site grows slowly and on purpose. Tools get added when there is a real reason to add them, not to fill out a directory.

How the calculators are checked

Every calculator is built from the standard published formula for that calculation — the weighted credit-hour formula for GPA and CGPA, the published aggregate weightings for entry-test aggregates, and standard conversion factors for the unit converter.

Before a tool goes live it is tested against worked examples calculated by hand, including the awkward cases: a semester with a repeated course, a zero-credit subject, a target CGPA that is mathematically impossible to reach. Where a result depends on an assumption, that assumption is written on the page rather than hidden inside the code.

One honest limitation is worth stating plainly: grading policies differ between universities and sometimes between departments in the same university. These tools follow the common formulas, but your institution's official transcript is always the authority. Treat any result here as a check on your own working, not a replacement for it.

What happens to the numbers you enter

The calculators run entirely in your browser. Your marks, grades, salary figures and text never leave your device and are never sent to a server, stored, or linked to you. Close the tab and the numbers are gone.

The site does use standard analytics and advertising cookies to understand which pages get used and to fund hosting. That is described in full in the Privacy Policy.

What you'll find here

The core of the site is academic: GPA, target CGPA, aggregate and percentage calculators, built around how results actually work for students.

Around that sits a smaller set of general tools — word counter, unit converter, salary calculator and a few file and generator utilities — added because the same people kept needing them.

Corrections and suggestions

If a calculator gives a result that doesn't match your official transcript, that is worth reporting — it is the fastest way these tools get better. The same goes for a formula that doesn't match your university's policy, or a tool you wish existed.

You can reach the site directly through the contact page.
